Our Editing Approach
Take advantage of our computer editing talents. When we edit on the computer we are able to take out the parts that do not contribute to the overall aesthetic of your presentation—the back of peoples heads, anything unflattering or unpleasant, anything redundant—and weave together all footage (from your choice of a 1 or 2 camera shoot) that helps tell the whole story. The fact that we take a lot of video gives us the opportunity to pick the prime segments of your event, which dramatically cuts down on the amount of fast forwarding you would end up doing with an unedited video.
When editing, we pride ourselves in making every moment a meaningful part of the story. We can add music, transitions, and special effects to give the presentation atmosphere. We can make a fun montage of your wedding photo session with your photographer. We can add a special effect to your first dance or the dancing of your guests—the possibilities are endless. Our approach is custom, tasteful, well thought out editing; more reminiscent of what you would see on an a television special. It is a very time intensive project, but the result will be astounding.
What is an Unedited Video?
Although we call it an "unedited" video, what that means is that we are only utilizing real-time editing techniques done at the time of capture rather than the more intense computer work typically associated with very polished, streamlined video. The less you require your final film to be produced the more money you can save, the savings in the fact that we do not bring the footage into the computer for any heavy modification or enhancing; referred to as "editing." With an unedited video, the control we have is by moving around people or structural obstacles or by turning on and off the camera, which is referred to as "in-camera" editing. If you've ever videotaped anything you too have done this kind of editing with your consumer-grade handycam. While your choices are made more arbitrarily, most likely reactions dictated by the start or stop of the event you are filming, our approach is more proactive and carefully planned.
