Videography FAQ

Do you return my original media (photos, digitally scannable memorabilia) and film (8mm, slides)?

We always return your originals to you in the same or better shape than when we received it. In the case of film it is all cleaned and usually spliced together on one large reel for ease of transfer. All original packaging will be returned to you. Scannable materials are handled with care and stored in a dry place. Slides are cleaned of dust and debris with air to ensure the best scan possible. We carefully note any existing damage and will make you aware of any potential complications prior to moving ahead with the transfer so that you have control over how to proceed.

What kind of film and how much of it do I have?

Because many of our clients are not sure of how much film they have to transfer or even of what kind of film they have, we have provided information that will help you make these determinations as well as estimate the cost of doing your transfer.

Why won't the DVD play in my DVD player?

Incompatible DVD Players
The DVDs we deliver are compatible for play in almost all standalone DVD players in use today. Today’s rapidly-changing DVD technology enables more features, and also creates challenges for DVD player compatibility. If your DVD player was purchased after 1999 it is very likely that your DVD player is capable of playing the DVD. However, if your Player is older, than you may encounter problems when trying to play your DVD. Check this list to see if your DVD Player is listed.
